I don't like the way the headline presented the story.

No DNA test?

Nimbus, a DNA test would be too easy. The presumed Japanese brother is expected to point at his nose and say ano ne a lot, and she is expected to whip up some gyoza and other dishes.

I imagine for the unfortunate kids left behind being Japanese and growing up under Mao was doubley bad. Let's also assume that they were taught to hate Japan and even if that was not enough I'm sure there wouldn't be much love for a country that abandoned them. So if 1 showed up, that sounds about right.
