    saborichan: exactly what I was thinking, this article doesn't tell us any background information. Why do they have to register, who has to register, what is the letter of the law, and when did the law change?

    The article does not need to, The joke of 'internet "dating"' should be well known to anyone who has ever seen an AdultFriendFinder pop up add. But, if you need to hear it from a more authoritative source...

    The revised law bars gangsters running such sites and operators of child-related dating sites from registering. It also requires operators to delete messages from children under 18 suggesting prostitution and from adults seeking child prostitutes.
