This has to be the worse airport in the entire world! Kansai, Chubu and Fukuoka almost sit empty while Narita is taking more and more traffic. I have to go through there in 2 weeks, UGH! The government needs to raise the price landing and taking off of this airport to encourage use of the others. Do not understand the government or the airlines at all! Narita is so busy and uncomfortable and having to take a bus to or from plane is misery!! It should be called "The airport at the end of the world!"

YuriOtani, you either plainly don't like Japan no matter what's the topic, either you don't travel too much. Compared with the airports in US, Europe and Asia I've been to (pretty impressive number I should add), Narita is very nice: clean, nice service, good facilities. The only minuses are that it is far away from the city and Japanese don't have too much vacation, so in August it's hell crowded. In other periods it's perfect

I gotta agree, there's YuriOtani has some issues. He actually sounds sarcastic.

Between LAX, San Fran, Heathrow, New York, and the airports in Zurich, Rome, and Paris, Narita is by far the best. It's not even close.

Narita is far the best? Best at let me see, taking half a day just to get there even from down town Tokyo? Costing an arm and a leg to get there by the Narita Limousine Bus service even from down town Tokyo? If you drive your own car out there, in crummy weather it is like driving in the middle of the high seas! Try landing at Hong Kong's newest international airport, very clean, safe, speedy, and a great train that has you in down town Hong Kong or Kowloon but anyway, near my hotel in something like 15 minutes!!! Narita is horrible! Too far, too expensive and just too old!

Narita is BY FAR THE BEST airport I've been to (and I travel a lot both privately and professionally). I could compare it to Vienna (also very clean and nicely organized - although recently it's been under construction). Otherwise, all other airports comparable in size with Narita don't even come close to it...
