    Okinawa has been real short of rain. The reservoirs here are about 48 percent, and they may do some water restrictions if the rain doesn't show up.

    Japan is a bunch of islands, right? Why can't Okinawa etc..change some of the salty ocean water to clean, drinkable water?

    lovely season it will rain every day the clothes won't dry there will be mold everywhere the shoes will will leak and the flowers will drown

    No rain here in Yamaguchi - don't know where you guys get your stories from, but you really need to get out of Tokyo once in a while!

    I have asked the same question. Use desalinization plants. But I guess that's too easy. I think there is a small one here, but I can't confirm that.
