Poor Colonel. Doesn't look too finger-licking good to me. Looks like he's been in the sewer. Guess the river is not that clean. Needs a bit of a paint job. Maybe the curse will continue. Tale revenge Colonel. And start serving mash potato with gravy!

I think the Colonel will eventually find himself the centerpiece of a large KFC restaurant near Doutonbori, as a symbol of Osaka, kind of taking the place of the Kuidaore Clown.

Glad Harland is back. Maybe he will forgive and forget. I think the Colonel will be identified as a god by future archaelogists, and would love to hear the conference presentations.

    And the Tigers won 4-0!

Watch them go all the way to the Japan Series!

Iwata, yesterday's winning pticher for Hanshin, was only 2 years old when the Colonel went missing.

This is what I like about Japan. In the midst of a recession news like this makes headlines. Beyond the horrors of the recession, cases of random murders, natural disasters and discrimination against foreigners, nothing terribly exciting happens in this country. The rediscovery of Col. Sanders is a reassurance of Japan's basic stability and sanity. You won't be arrested and lashed for drinking beer or wearing jeans or even criticizing the emperor system here. Yeah, the Hanshin Tigers and Col. Sanders rather than chaos and tyranny.

It was really dirty and was shown on the news last night for a long time, as this is a very important piece of sculpture. Actually, the hand was sticking up first because the arm was broken off. Kine of waving and saying, I am over here guys.

That would be insane. I swear they'd parade the statue through the streets of Osaka and build an temple for it.
