The Pastor sounds like a lovely fellow - but Geez- imagine explaining to the folk thay it was "God's will" to allow a nuclear meltthrough in their backyard...

While I appreciate his and his flocks' suffering, if God destroyed the power plant - and his church - because of 'greed', why is he building another church? Isn't he being 'greedy' again wanting another piece of land and building? And, no, I'm not serious; just playing devil's advocate.

We could shoot holes through this guy's logic until the cows come home, but the bottom line is that it's an interesting story and he's trying to help his people. Good on him, and good luck.

And what of the 100,000 evacuated from around the doomed nuclear plant? What is in store for them this New Year? We are getting less news about what is happening with them and also the people made homeless by the 3/11 disaster?
Is the media losing interest?

Zichi it's in the national interest to move on, let the victims fend for themselves. They chose to live on the coast, they allowed their elected officials to approve the nuclear power plants. It's God's will that they be challenged, they are after all still alive. Praise God for that.

A good motto to live by. We enter this world with nothing and we leave the same way. We've just got the make the most of the time in between. Sometimes we need to be shaken out of our comfort zones to realise this. Merry Christmas to all.

Spudman. Let us get this straight once and for all. "God" had nothing to do with this. Human greed and short-sightedness did. People's reactions and triumphs are their own, not some "God" thing.

It is telling and shows how ignorant people are when prejudice is directed at the survivors. It is strange too that people have to seek refuge at different locations when billions of yen have been directed at this tragedy.
