Hmm, maybe the hydraulic system malfunction caused a remote fuel dump valve to open. I can't think even JT would mistake hydraulic fluid for jet fuel (though I've been wrong before!)
sakurasuki - obviously you never had the chance to see jet fuel "in person" :). You could extinguish your cigarette into it and it won't catch fire - it is a rather heavy and difficult to ignite oily liquid
