This happens all the time, it's just that it's gang up on Russia month in the English speaking world's media. I didn't notice the same attention being paid in the media to Norman Finkelstein (American) being turned back at the airport and denied entry into Israel due to his support of the Palestinian cause. And I'm certain he is a much better known figure than this Yukiko Kikuchi.

What mother Russia rejecting aid workers for Chechnya? I can't believe it, Russia always acts in the interests of its citizens isn't that what our good man Putin said?

bebert, it's about time we gang up on Russia in the media, they can share the rasberry awards with the US.

helping the chechens is like helping the talibans. certainly there are victims among them but it is the same and I have never heard of Japanese volunteers helping the talibans.
