    It was nice snow this morning. Not enough to settle on the ground in the city but on the mountains there is a nice coating visible from parts of the city. Looking forward to even more snow...

    There's been snow on the mountains in Hokuriku for ages now.

    Same for Sapporo. Today's snow was downtown, at sea level.

    How does this compare to years past?

    It supposed to be a very cold winter in the US and A according to the Farmer's Almanac? What's expected for the Orientals?

    I'd say it's about usual for snow to start in November. Sometimes there's a little snow in October, but it never snows really bad till December.
