    @Amakuri, you can also get yolkless and triple yolked eggs. They come from very young or very old hens whose cycle is out of sync. Commercially produced eggs are usually candled to screen them, but smaller farms don't candle eggs.

    LOL, so many people are crying chemicals/bioengineering over things like double yolks. So identical twins in humans didn't exist until China started putting stuff in the food?

    This is not such a rare occurence, anybody who raises chickens will tell you that such things occur on occasion. The opposite of this is double yoke eggs.
