And whoever signed this off should "do the right thing" if there is an accident. No if's but's or excuses...I wanna know who it is and what he is gonna do about it. No hiding under a job title.

Sendai nuclear plant obtains final permit needed to restart. Yet they still haven't provided a evacuation plan in case another nuclear accident happens.

They just copied the TEPCO-Fukushima plan, and changed the cover sheet:

Yes, Kagoshima, home to an active volcano that has already erupted 500 times this year. Seems a good place to re-open a nuclear plant. I mean, what could go wrong?

Excellent. Now drop the electric rates.

They should be receiving their final permit to dismantle.

Yes, and at over 70kms away it is a major threat to the nuclear power station. I live 20kms from an active volcano, and guess what? Life goes on.

Start 'em up!

You do not have the permission of the people. The people do not want a restart.

That is a good question. I'm still waiting for someone to explain how volcanic ash would cause a nuclear plant to meltdown. As for pyroclastic flows reaching the plant, I don't think the millions of dead people will be too concerned about their cancer risk hypothetically going up a few percentage points.

try driving your car though volcanic ash. It will stall. Ash gets into the machine parts causing numerous malfunctions. Its just not safe. Simple.

@Aly Rustom - You have a nuclear powered car? Nobody is driving the power plant around Kyushu, it is a building with doors and windows, which can be closed and sealed.
