Temperatures forecast to be higher than average for Sept-Nov
The Japan Meteorological Agency has issued its weather forecast for the next three months, in which it predicts that temperatures will be higher than average until November.
According to the agency’s predictions, high pressure systems over the Pacific are likely to result in a continuation of the hot weather that has been parching the nation in September and that warmer weather will continue in October.
However, the agency added that it expects higher-than-average rainfall throughout the country as the summer draws to a close, potentially alleviating this summer’s nationwide water shortages. Humid air is expected to accumulate in northern and eastern Japan first, resulting in slightly higher rainfall than average, following which the west will also see some precipitation in September and October, the agency said.
