A model! I feel better already. I wonder if TEPCO has a roadmap as to when work on this miniature model will be finished.

I feel much safer now that 'vents' are being installed to allow toxic radioactive substances to be 'vented' into the atmosphere.Plenty of life in those pools of molten radioactive sludge yet!

Well at least at four plants they do not have to vent them.

At least they have a plan. It's time for nuclear physisist consultants to bank role in Japan.

You know what would be even better than vents on nukes? Solar power. Without nukes.

That would be a great idea.... until you want to turn on the air conditioner etc.

Hydrogen is NOT a toxic substance if it's released into the atmosphere. These vents are to stop hydrogen explosions and have nothing to do with anything else.

I guess that machinery for cutting vents will only be useful if the workers can get close enough to the roof to use it...I don't think they had much chance of that in Fukushima.

TEPCO, WHAT TOOK YOU SOOOOO LONG TO THINK SENSIBLY. PM KAN and the next PM start studying on Top-Down policies in the goverment. Look what happened with this tragedy. Even your office is not fully informed on what TEPCO is hiding. This tragedy is a wake up call for the Japanese goverment POLICY MAKERS.
