I know they came with manufacture's instructions and guide to use.....shouldn't be able to have a lawsuit in this one. Funny, but sad case of events.

JT has to mention "Saitama-based" Matoba Electric Manufacturing Co...

Unplug the damn machine and run to the kitchen to get a knife and cut the clothes. Unless they really wanted to use it as assisted suicide.

Sounds like the perfect crime: "Honey?... would you like to use that new foot massager on your neck? Here, I'll take the cover off for you."

  • Suzu1 at 11:26 AM JST - 17th December

    Definitely NOT a happy ending.

Strangled by a (Saitama made) foot massage machine. What a way to go!

  • Mr.Ken at 12:48 PM JST - 17th December

When did this happen? I just read on their site (http://www.matoba.co.jp/) that this machines are from 1986! Is a 21 Years old machine! get a new one man! or you can die for being cheap.

At least the persons who used it, were adults, so they decided on their own will to use the machine in a wrong way. I mean, imagine a child plays with such a machine and puts its arm or leg in. Would be terrible even with cover.

Must have been old folks who couldn't move quickly enough or weren't strong enough to just pull the thing off. This is why things come with warning labels, although I hazard to guess who would need to be reminded that "your neck is not your foot".

People are very inventive. They put the massage gadgets to various uses. When it becomes the last thing they ever do they can't testify in court and answer the questions about having read the instruction manual and the warnings that come with it. The inventive victims won't be able to sue, in reverse the manufactures should sue them for creating false images about their product.

There will be bolder warning lables.

  • moonbeams at 04:22 PM JST - 18th December

All of these "Saitama" comments are getting annoying.

  • Ageha at 04:09 AM JST - 19th December

Were those three together or related at all or is it just a coincidence that three people used foot massage machine in their necks? Really, if they weren't related or acquaintances it just shows that are a lot of stupid people out there. And if they were, well, they were still stupid, right?
