This is awesome, Tokyo Disneyland is the best after the one in Anaheim.

Like totally, so awesome - if you enjoy spending hours in line for 30 seconds of fun? Eating overpriced, craptacular food? Perhaps the amazing success of Dizzyland here is directly related to the poor quality of life experienced by the majority of "middle class" Japanese. I've been 4 times in 12 years but was paid to go (JET days) or got free tickets. No intention of going using my own dosh.

The best time to go to the scariest place on earth is the first week of April. Everyone is starting school or new jobs and the park is empty. Absolutely no waiting. We took the little one three years in a row and it was quite nice. Still dislike the big rat though.

Twenty-five years of J-guys being forced to take their J-girl friends there so they can get lucky. An anuual rite of passage for young J-couples. Now that is really something to celebrate.

i don't know... i think there's no faster way to ensure that a relationship will crumble than to take your girlfriend to disneyland. it's like the black spot.

why wait in line to buy water, i dont get it.

  • VOR at 06:25 PM JST - 15th April

If you gotta go, I agree with keetch, the first week of April is the best time to go. Absolutely no lines makes forking over $400-500 to the rat a little more tolerable.

VOR - What makes you think there wasn't any lines the first week of April? I guarantee there were long lines the first week of April, just like the last week of April, and the first and last week and every other week of the year!

I wish I could have just .00001% of all the money people have spent at Tokyo Disneyland...

keech2 - Absolutely no waiting eh? Hard to believe. How come you didn't say this 2 weeks ago, dammit! xD

Sarge, gomen I misspoke, I actually took the family to Disney Sea on the seventh and can only speak for that particular day. We chose it hoping the start of the school year would be the best time to avoid crowds.

No lines what so ever. There wasn't even a need for the park to activate any of the FAST PASS machines.

Probably the next best time to go would be right after Golden Week. Check out Jasmine. I can only guess that's Disney way of saying thanks to the dads.

  • Sarge at 07:12 AM JST - 16th April

VOR - Oh, Disney Sea! Well, that's completely differnt ha ha ha Isn't Jasmine an animated Disney character?

  • HoDeDo at 09:20 AM JST - 16th April

I agree with VOR, that gal running around in a little Jasmine oufit temporarily put me in the right place.

  • keech2 at 09:59 AM JST - 16th April

Sarge, Was a bit surprised myselg, but there were no lines. The longest we waited was maybe 10 minutes at either of the parks in three visits in early April. The reason I didn't mention it is because there was no thread. VOR, yes, Jasmine was very pretty.
