Tell me about it! Those 91,000 people are on my train each day. I remember the good old days when nobody would sit next to me because I am a Gaijin.
Now I cannot even get near a seat anytime of the day. On the Chuo or Yamanote line anyway.
Well, I think it because they are worried I may ask a question in English and they would be ashamed in front of other passengers if they could not answer in English. Lucky you, I have always wanted to go to Sapporo.
If the inaka didn't suck so much in terms of employment opportunities and entertainment for young people, perhaps more people would stay there and stop swamping Tokyo?
