JR East officials said Monday that train services on the JR Musashino line were disrupted on Sunday night after a woman jumped onto the tracks and then climbed a power pole at Higashi-Tokorozawa Station in Saitama Prefecture.
According to police, the incident occurred at around 10:30 p.m. Sunday. TBS reported that woman, who is in her 20s, jumped onto the tracks and started walking in the direction of Nishi-Funabashi. When station staff called out to her, she climbed three meters up a power pole and remained there for about 40 minutes until rescue personnel brought her down.
Police said she was taken to hospital for an examination. Station staff said the woman appeared drunk at the time of the incident, TBS reported.
JR officials said services were disrupted for about 40 minutes, affecting around 1,200 commuters.

Wow, they are doing that in every week? o.o JR lines are really popular amongst suicidal people.

Expect to see more of the unexpected, this time from a female which puts a new twist on things. Unfortunately, we will only see more rebellion from our young people as their circumstances continue to decline in uncertainty.

Very good for drunk person to climb up the three metres power pole, could you imagine what she can do when sober. Watch out Spiderman here come Spiderwoman.

Not even in the top 5 of Japan's prefectures with highest crime/arrest rates. Study before you think you know.

Service poles within the fenced off areas of tracks often have ladders. And it probably wasn't a power pole for the locomotive overhead line since climbing 3m would put her in the middle of the lines and this news story would be less funny.

Awesome, she sounds like a fun drunk , that said this time around will be pretty costly , she might as have gotten few very old bubbly bottles at home instead

Climbing a a pole 3 meters up while drunk? If there wasn't a ladder, I'm impressed, I can't even climb a bunk-bed.

I hope she gets fined heavily for her stupidity spree.
