Two peacocks captured in Chiba

CHIBA —

Police said Tuesday that two peacocks had been captured on the streets of two towns in Chiba Prefecture. Authorities are currently looking for the owner.

According to police, one peacock is female and about 80 cm long. It was discovered by a man taking an early morning walk in Kujukuri, at about 5:30 am on June 10. The other peacock is male and 150 cm long. It was found on the streets of Ōamishirasato town just after 6 p.m. on June 13.

Just last month, in Chiba Prefecture, there was a lot of fuss about some peacocks which escaped from police custody in Yachiyo City.

Well it's a start, but we don't have a big problem with peacocks where I live, maybe they could catch a few crows though.

Fine the peacocks! Not a big fine, just a poultry sum. They need to pay for their crimes.
