Two women, man found dead in apparent suicide in Gunma forest

Three people were found dead in a minivan in a forest in Gunma Prefecture on Sunday, in what police believe was a suicide. A man passing by on a highway noticed the minivan about 50 meters down a small road and approached the vehicle at about 2 p.m., police said. The man saw three people lying down inside and called the police. The three people—two women and a man—were already dead when police arrived.

According to police, the man, estimated to be in his 40s or 50s, was in the driver’s seat, and a woman in her 40s or 50s and another woman in her 20s were in the back seat. Police are in the process of confirming their identities.

The windows were taped up and police found charcoal briquettes in the van.

Well, for what it's worth, Kudos to these three for offing themselves in an out of the way place where they WOULDN'T:

1) land on somebody's head from jumping off a building.

2) poison all their neighbors

3) cause a delay on the trains

4) take several people out with them, then fail to take themselves out.

I say all would be suiciders should learn from their honorable example. May their spirits enjoy their journey into the void, leaving their earthly sufferings behind, and come back on a higher plane of enlightenment.

To be more precise, I was referring to the second sentence "adopt a religion that forbids suicide".

You can't "forbid" someone to commit suicide. If the person is sick and tired of life, he or she won't think "Oh wait, according to my religion I can't kill myself".

They had a mini van. things cant of been that bad unless it was a rental but if it was a rental, they had money. they also had the cash to pay for gas to drive to a remote location and money for tape and briquettes and a burner. So then if things were not so bad economically maybe it was their religion that made them do it.

I guess if you haven't been subject to the aftermath of someone committing suicide it is easy to belittle. If it hadn't happened to me, i guess I would have a laugh about it too. But, knowing someone who has ended their lives, is soul destroying, something that takes a lot of joy from those that are left behind. I hope those people in the van have found peace, but thay've made a lot of sorrow for those left in this world.
