Your friend is close, your enemy is closer. Under the present circumstances, the U.S is welcome to do so.

I can think of a couple of really good island locations for this SBX....

Who cares, everything will still be over for Japan by the time information gets filtered out to Nagatacho

Way overdue.

Japan is also a great customer for our military goods.

Considering how North Korea (mis)behaves, this is appropiate action for Japan to defend itself.

Japan has one of the toughest porcupine-like air defence in the whole world. It domestically used 3D Radar made by NEC, J/FPS-5 Fixed 3D Radar," is already one of the best..

I think, Japan-made radar will do.

Even in 1983 when the Korean Air Line B747 was shotdown by Soviet Mig happened beyond the Radar scope of Japan, Japan Naval Intelligence picked-up the location and conversation of the soviet air force up to the last minute when missile was fired.

In spite of unforeseen circumstances that Japan might be facing, this one hits the target. U.S. and Japan alliance must be strong for deterrence purpose. In spite of history and differences, this combined effort serve both interest well. Furthermore, who is the real friend of Japan, especially if crisis situation arise? Best wishes for Japan. Cheers.

A month after 24 July China has success testing her DF41 railway mobile ICBM, America has stepped up her warmongering in west Pacific by placing the button of nuclear war in front of China's doorstep!

...with the over-ride codes give to ROK.

No need for Japan to buy those things. Japan don't need it. USA is just bluffing them to buy those things. Just PLAIN usual business for USA. hehehehe

Does anyone really think NK will attack Japan? Scaremongering to divert from real issues again

Going to install it at Futenma

Plop it down on the Sengaku's...

This is the correct decision. It can be a message to NK and just sit there or a real defense mechanism if NK is foolish enough to launch. Take out the useless and dangerous Ospreys in the south and invest in modern equipment.

Ossan, it is not SBX, it is FBX-T. Different program.

SBX got its budget cut last year.

Makes sense to me. I wonder what the comments in the NK press will be? That should be a laugh.

The comment by NK will be that this means more food is taken from the mouths of NK children. NK has to protect itself against enemies that want to take over a devastated, starving program. Then, it will say it is willing to restart discussion about nuclear arms if sanctions are lifted. "Deja vu all over again."
