TOKYO —
A United Airlines passenger plane bound for Chicago made an emergency landing at Narita airport Monday evening after leaving Beijing due to an engine problem, transport ministry officials said.
The flight, 850, developed the problem at around 10:30 p.m. while flying over Russia, the officials at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism said. Two and half hours later, the plane landed safety at Narita airport near Tokyo with 227 crew and passengers on board, said the officials.

I have been on several planes with engine problems and they all landed safely. The best part is watching out the window as you try to land and see all the fire trucks and others racing along next to you. I wonder if they did that at Narita.
