A 36-year-old male worker was killed in a blast at a shipyard in Tokyo's Koto Ward on Monday.
According to police, the explosion occurred at around 11 a.m. The blast killed one man and injured another man, also in his 30s, TV Asahi reported. The second man was taken to hospital with burns to his body and is in a stable condition, police said.
Police said the workers were using paint thinner on a boat when the blast occurred.
