As long as she doesn't sing, the people up there should be ok? No need to adding insult to injury.

The concert isnt even to raise money for them! Publicity stunt much?

Sorry to sound harsh - I just dont get a good vibe from her.

Excellent. I'm sure the mods haven't it yet, so enjoy this delicious snark as long as possible.

My first thought was, "Who is this oddly dressed ba-ba?"

While Y.O. may not be to everyones liking, I doubt there's a more maligned person in the "star set."

She does a tremendous amount of charity work.

And Nicky - sorry, but the "Why is she helping children in poor countries when people are suffering here?" line don't cut it with me.

    Say "Cheese" all.

browny1 : Amazing isn't it? She could give away all her money to charity and live the life of nun and still the usual suspects would find something to criticize.

wait, why the heck would she hold a charity concert IN Japan, for another country? That does not seem right

Yoko: "Thanks for all the money we have raised."..then proceeds to put bag of cash in suitcase and gets on plane bound for New York. (Yoko Ono's net worth is US$500 million)

Yeah, ditto with Flippy J, why is it wrong? Live Aid was held in London & Philadelphia for Ethiopia. LOL Ian Duncan!

Den - Did London and Philadelphia suffer through a triple disaster just before those relief concerts?

I have no doubt that Ms Ono has given a lot of money already to support Japan in its crisis; quite probably she just hasn't felt the need to publicise it. This is a charity concert, which requires publicity, to get bums on seats.
The posters here who are mocking her, and knocking her actions - why??

At her age, there's not enough time for her to develop cancer from any radiation. At least she made the effort.

I don't know, that Norikazu Otsuka guy was eating the Fukushima vegetables on TV and look what happened to him! Of course, they deny any connection.
