Barcoded greetings
Those square QR Code barcodes have been popping up in magazines and on posters everywhere recently. The latest tweak to the technology is the Voice QR, which delivers something other than just a URL for your phone to surf to.
The cream of Japan’s engineers have somehow managed to get each code, when scanned by a phone camera, to deliver an audio message. The examples on the website include the typical “Otsukaresama” and “Congratulations on graduating.” (J Mark Lytle)
