Japan News and Discussion
For years, there’s only been one “omiyage” option for the crowds flocking to Ueno Zoo: panda-yaki, the sweet bean paste snacks modeled on the park’s most famous residents. Never mind that Ling Ling, the only great panda living there, passed on to the great bamboo forest in the sky last year — there’s still a demand for small, edible versions of him.
But what are we supposed to make of the 1GB USB memory sticks based on those snacks? On the plus side, they’re super cute. On the down side, you could get a generic 32GB memory stick for the same price, and your baby daughter probably wouldn’t try to eat it. (Metropolis)
