Bluetooth speaker creates music-filled space with three-color LED illuminations

Elecom will launch in October a new line of waterproof Bluetooth speakers shaped like an oval candle holder with built-in LED lighting that illuminates, in a choice of three different colors.

The new speaker, LBT-SPWP200 series, is a waterproof type that allows you to listen to music and video audio wirelessly by connecting to Bluetooth smartphones and tablet PCs. Featuring the industry’s best waterproofing performance, equivalent to the IPX5/IPX7 standard, the speaker will let you enjoy music in the bathroom or kitchen without worrying about water splashes or even accidentally dropping it in the water.

The new model features an oval candle holder silhouette that provides a sense of security and warmth, while its stylish design reminds you of the cleanliness and texture of white porcelain. It also features a built-in LED lighting that illuminates three different colors, blue, green and light blue, for you to choose from depending on your feelings and mood of the day. The speaker body is covered in silicone, producing a soft dim effect when the LED lights up. The opening part employs a diffuser design, enabling 360-degree surrounding sound reaching every corner of the room so that you can appreciate rich sound at great volume anywhere in the room.

The product has a built-in lithium polymer battery that offers a maximum of approximately twenty hours of music playback time. It also comes equipped with a micro USB connector for charging, and can be charged via connection to a PC, AC adapter, or similar using the included charging cable. The portable speaker fits in the palm of your hand and also supports Bluetooth Class 1, which offers a maximum communication range of 100 m radius without obstacles, allowing you to listen to music anywhere in the house, including the bathroom and kitchen.

In terms of the operation, the front side of the speaker is equipped with all buttons necessary for turning the power ON/OFF, pairing, playing/pausing and controlling volume. When used in combination with A2DP devices, the speaker can wirelessly reproduce sound from music data as well as audio for applications. Its compatibility with NFC allows the establishment of Bluetooth® connections just by a touch to an NFC-compatible smartphone.
