Crocs double up as cell phone holders
New Products ( 11 )
Shoemaker Crocs has fallen a long way since its brief spurt of popularity a couple of years ago. But even people who’d rather lose their feet than be seen wearing the company’s iconic plastic clogs might be tempted by this spin-off product.
The O-Dial proves that context is everything: that hole-riddled foam resin suddenly looks a heck of a lot cooler when it’s housing your cell phone rather than your digits. We recently spotted one strapped to the bag of a bicycle courier in central Tokyo, and if those speed-demon hepcats have given it their seal of approval, that’s good enough for us.
Available in eight colors.
Crocs O-Dial, 1,980 yen. Available from Crocs Aoyama: 5-50-6 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku. Tel: 03-5778-9694. Open daily 11 a.m.-8 p.m.

I think Japanese people are the only ones in the world who fail to realise just how stupid looking are Crocs.

i think you could buy your own for 300 or 400 yen. why pay 2000 yen for a yarn strap. make it yourself. nice spin on a cell phone holder. personally I think it is a good idea.

So cute...I hope they have one in pink. I never liked the clogs but the sandals are the best, you can walk for miles without ever getting tired.

Crocs do look stupid, but are great for working in the garden (and for wearing when picking some of the sweetest tomatoes you ever tasted).

You can think what you want, but it may be far from reality. My recent sojourn in Europe revealed an amazing prevalent obsession with this footwear.
