Lotte has released a confectionery that combines ginger, the spice “hihatsu” (also known as piper longum) and chocolate. The snack is said to have a delicately sweet taste that builds into a spicy aftertaste. The snack is priced at 138 yen and is on sale exclusively in Kanto and eastern Japan.

When will beverage makers, confectionary companies, and their ilk stop wasting time & money on these ridiculous one-hit products that make absolutely no sense in the long-run?!!?
