Wazakura Corp has released a golden keyboard. The keyboard, in the Japanese layout, is covered by a 99.99% pure gold leaf. The keyboard features a USB hub with two ports. This product is available at the maker’s online shop and at Sofmap PC shops.

wow! I can make one myself for a fraction fo the cost! Buy the gold leaf, spray keyboard w/ claning fluid. Place the gold leaf over the keys. Rubb rubb rubb. Spray clear lacker over it. TaDaaa! You just got you new gold covered keyboard! Not Golden ( Gold covered!) Enjoy!

Another sickening example of conspicuous consumption by people who can find no value in this world beyond flaunting wealth. "Look I am someone, I matter because I have money and can spend it on pointless things."

Meanwhile a lot of people in Japan and around the world are going to bed hungry. So what kind of people are we if we spend on crap like this while others suffer?

It seems to me to be a very inneffective way of showing off one's wealth. If said person were REALLY wealthy, they wouldn't have a gold keyboard. They'd have a personal assistant to do their typing for them.

At least that's how I look at it.

I use gold leaf only for my sake. why waste gold on the keyboard, the gold cover will wear out soon.
