I think it is terribly innacurate to use the word 'sweet' and 'bean' in the same sentence.

neverknow2 - Go eat some azuki and then come back here and admit that "sweet" and "bean" in the same sentence is perfectly accurate!

What a travesty to put these two together. It's like the turkey flavored soda available during thanksgiving.

Now that is Japan Today news I can live with! Oishii-so!

Recombinant culture does not work everywhere. And should not.

I would like to try it.

Hmmmm....I'd like to try it - matcha Kitkat was surprisingly good. Pineapple Kitkat, on the other hand, was vile....

Seems a waste of a perfectly good Kitkat.
Pineapple Kitkat was a waste of a perfectly good pineapple.
Flavoured Kitkats that do work - maple, mango, orange.

"perfectly good KitKat"
There's no such thing. Chocolate and cookies in the same bite? That's like eating mackeral and beef in the same bite.

The bit in the middle of a Kitkat isn't a cookie, it's a wafer biscuit. (Cleo's guilty secret - I nibble the chocolate off first, and then eat the wafter. So it isn't 'in the same bite'. This is why Cleo never eats Kitkat in polite company.)
But assuming Sarge's cookie translates as biscuit in honba no eigo, there's nowt wrong with putting the two together. What about chocolate digestives? Or Penguin Bars? (Oh, it's years since I had a Penguin Bar... or a Club biscuit....)

That red sweet beans stuff is popular? With who? Maybe with the over 80s set. Look, this is a match made in hell. Green Tea Kit Kat on the other hand...that's a winner.
