Japan News and Discussion
What equipment do the top dogs at the Japan Pen Spinning Association use when they do their thing? The cream of the crop of professional-grade pens are made by Pen’z Gear. They’re 190 mm in length, 9.7 mm in diameter, perfectly balanced (with tips and caps at both ends) and can be made heavier or lighter by adjusting the eight weight rings.
With these bad boys of the writing utensil world, even amateurs can attempt moves like the “gunman,” “sonic reverse” and “backaround” — video examples of which are available on the TakaraTomy website. Aspiring JPSA members should check out the pen-plus-DVD box set. (Beau Miller/Metropolis)

Being a bit of a novice Pen & Ink sketcher pens always fasinate me & sometime I would like to see what they have produced. To even look upon one or more to possibly be usable for Pen & Ink sketching. Mind you ink has to be black & dry quickly. For some yrs I have been using German made) drafting pens of differnet sizes.
Unfortunately normal Pen & Ink sketching with drafting pens will soon be of the past as computers are taking over & I even have trouble of obtaining black ink. Like if I am hiking up in the Cdn Rockie Mountains or similiar terrain I like to be able to do a bit of pen & ink sketcher while a lap top computer & such would not be the same.
Srange outlook on pens I must admit for yes even India Ink is almost impossible to obtain for many of the older pen nibs of back in the late 40s to into the 70s.
