What mood are you in? White? Black? Red?
Pioneer’s new slim mini component CD player – X-SMC00BT – will be out in late March. Music saved in your smart phone can be played wirelessly with it. You can enjoy music or internet radio saved in a Bluetooth compatible device wirelessly. Also, iPhone 5 and iPad mini can be connected to the USB terminal, and another iPod and iPhone can be connected to the dock. Of course, you can play a CD, FM radio and use USB memory, etc.
But the cool part is that you can change the player’s color by changing the front panel to match your daily mood or the interior of your room. Don’t just change your music… change your player.
Size: 430 mm x 218 mm x 114 mm Weight: 2.9 kg Price: 25,000 yen.

Is this a joke - a CD player? And even FM radio will be retro in a few years once Japan finally gets the hang of DAB.
OK, so the bluetooth technology is good, but hardly groundbreaking - it is pretty much the standard offering nowadays.
I suppose it is not such bad value for 25000 yen. Might buy one.

Japan never got the hang of FM radio, what makes you it's gonna get the hang of DAB? Kanto, with a population of Canada, has what, four commercial FM stations? And most of those lose money, apparently.
