Multi-function pens

Multi-function pens

Pilot Corporation has launched a new pen named “Two Plus One” which combines two pen colors and a mechanical pencil in a single body decorated with Yamato-e traditional Japanese paintings. The four quintessentially Japanese designs include elements such as the moon and Mount Fuji. The pens will go on sale in mid-May for about 3,150 yen each.

I bought a pen with two colors plus a mechanical pencil at the 100 yen shop. Works great!
Not as pretty as this though.

Isn't it a ball pen, rather than a fountain pen?

...is calling a ball pen a fountain pen japlish?

Might be new kid on the block.

But with items like that and at that price I always struggle to I display them or actually use them(when a similar/cheaper item will work just as well).

Of course a moot point for people with lots of disposable incomes. ;)

P.S.: Agree if it was a true fountain-pen, the opening would make for a very narrow Nip.

I would love one of these. It doesnt look like it has a fountain pen nib, though. That would have been lovely!

Just went and checked out Pilot's home page to make sure.

This 'Two Plus One' is, as Scrote and other readers above have pointed out, a ball pen and not a fountain pen.

Don't they have the same kind of thing at Daiso? If i remember it also comes a stylus for your DS, PDA, or what not?

THanks - now we know that it is just a "pen." Felt tip? - ball point? - for that price, you'd think you'd get both. At any rate, at least they didn't call the mechanical pencil a "sharp pencil."

I thought we didnt use pens anymore- everything is digitized? Or is it just my workplace. All we really needed was a 50cent pack that had 20 pens in it, it lasted us a couple of years.

I used to have a few pretty parker pens that came in a nice boxes back in the day, but Ive lost all of them.

Lets face it- the pen is dead

    the pen is dead

Not while folks like to scribble on toilet walls it isn't! You can't do that with an i-pad.

azninvasion, you stick to your cheap pens. I invested over 20,000 in my pen from Germany (which pretty much gives away the brand name) and trust me, people notice.

Well, they do look nice, that's for sure.

They are a bit expensive but on the other hand they are really beautiful. I will check out the quality once they come out. They would make nice presents though.
