Nikon to launch its 1st action camera in spring

Nikon Corp will sell its first action camera in the spring. According to the company, the KeyMission 360 is a compact, wearable action camera.

The camera has an image sensor and a NIKKOR lens on each of the front and rear sides so that images in any direction can be taken with a resolution of 4k UHD. Also, it features a high water resistance and can take pictures up to 30m below the surface of the sea as well as impact, cold and dust resistances. It realizes a high operability and mobility to support various shooting environments.

In addition to the high resistance to environment, the KeyMission 360 uses optical and image processing technologies developed by Nikon. It is scheduled to be released along with a variety of accessories designed for the camera.

No doubt Nikon's version will show many incremental improvements to previous models. Thank you Nick Woodman for creating the first cameras that many companies are basing theirs on.
