Japan News and Discussion
Hey — you know how photos from your phone are really crappy? Well, that’s because it’s a phone. Sorry, you knew that anyway, but apparently Greenhouse Japan didn’t, so they went ahead and built a jumbo zoom lens just for cell phones.
The 8,800-yen GH-ML8 is available online and comes with a mini tripod that holds the whole Heath Robinson-esque contraption together when you stick the lens in front of the tiny aperture of your phone’s camera. There’s even a focusing ring on the barrel of the lens allowing you to get loads more tightly focused, washed out, blurry snaps. (J Mark Lyttle)

No actually, most phones these days have the same megapixels as a regular camera.

Who comes up with such gizmos? The whole idea of camera phones is that you don't need to carry anything else if a need to take a pic or a vid arises. If you know you're going to snap a few shots, put a proper digicame in your bag or pocket. Small ones are not much bigger than this funny little contraption, and they actually work.

This is the most refreshing review I've ever read on Japan Today! I though making fun of a product would have got you the sack and forced you to have to work at the Japan Times. It sure the hell ain't another ad posing as news, capone.
