Canon in August will release a pocket-sized mobile projector, the Mini Projector C-5. It will sell for about ¥29,800.
Mini Projector C-5 is small and light (124×71×20mm, 169g), so it can be brought anywhere you go.
Since it has a miniHDMI terminal built-in and supports MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link), you can project images from MHL-enabled PCs, smartphones, and tablets. It utilizes LED light sources that can last around 10,000 hours so that it will work for at least 5 years without any maintenance even with continuous use for 5 hours every day.
Canon's optical technology used for their high-end projectors is not applied to Mini Projector C-5, and it actually has minimal adjustment options as a projector, e.g., the user cannot change any settings for projecting and zoom is constant. An internal battery can be charged via AC adapter allowing 4 hours of use.

Pocket-sized tiny projector
Well done, Canon: a cool product at a great price point, despite the redundant adjective.
