Portable digital audio player

Portable digital audio player

Kenwood will release an upgraded version of the MediaKeg digital audio player product line in early December. The internal memory capacity has been increased and the texture improved by switching from plastic to aluminum panels, allowing better sound quality that can be affected by vibrations.

The new MG-F series features a 2-inch LCD TFT screen. The control menu is easier to read, and delivers micro-displays of CD jackets. The product supports Micro SD cards that can be used in case of memory space shortage, eliminating the need to delete data.

Open price, but retail price expected to be around 18,000 yen, 15,000 yen and 13,000 yen respectively for the 16GB, 8GB and 4GB memory versions.

I thought there are no moving parts in those players! What vibrations are talking about from Kenwood 8-)

Why is this news? It might have been 5 years ago, but what's different about this unit and the zillions of other mp3 players, besides having a speaker, perhaps. It's got an iPod Nano price without any of the iPod's cache.

Kerion:the speaker? For a portable device?!? I hope no one sits beside me on the train with the music blaring out of its speaker!
