Haier Asia, a manufacturer and seller of home appliances, has announced the release of the world's first stick-style handy washing device HCW-HW1 COTON from their AQUA brand.
They have started accepting advanced orders and will begin selling it to the public in early March.
HCW-HW1 COTON weighs only 200g. It washes out stains by tapping at the cloth while spraying water at it. Since it washes only a small area, it is an easy and quick tool for getting a stain out of delicate clothing items that are not easy to wash at home.
Price: ¥10,800 Size: 46x176x46mm Weight: 200g Color: Orange, Gold, Pink

Company may be getting orders from investors not ordinary consumers.

"Portable washing device" is a misleading description. After some digging, I found a photo that reveals it's only for removing spots or stains, with the business end only as large as a 100 yen coin. Rather limited use for an item that will cost you more than 10,000 yen. The selling point seems to be that it comes in orange, gold and pink.
