Good thing they gave us the prices in dollars and the temperature in Fahrenheit. Definitely keeps things relevant.

My thermos bottle keeps tea or coffee hot for up to 8h and it cost me about $18. And what the heck is Fahrenheit??

It's something Americans are proud of using to determine the temperature of things. Might not be what the rest of the world uses, but if Americans are happy wit it, hey, why change it? Works for them, just carry a converter.
