Rechargeable waist warmer

Sanyo's rechargeable waist warmer (ENW-WW2) goes on sale Oct 21, just in time for the cooler weather. Designed to help warm your waist and stomach, its battery capacity enables it to be used for up to seven hours on a full charge.

It is powered by a lithium ion battery. When not in use as a waist warmer, you can use to charge a smartphone as well. The belts come in two sizes, M and L. Price: about 8,000 yen.

JapanGal: If you worked outside in the cold weather, this warmer might be just the thing.

I would say advertising it as a smartphone charger would make more sales than a waist warmer, seems the ad agency is a waste of space.

Would be great if it was also a geiger counter...

What cooler weather? It's still 30C at night!

Available in sizes and M & L. This means it will be far too small for an average foreigner...

Would be great if it was also a geiger counter... Couldn't agree more. It would also be handy if it could analyse the contents of your stomach to see how much cesium you've consumed at the local izakaya.

Geex. There are far too many samui people for a country that isn't very samui.
