Rugged Everio video camera for all kinds of weather

JVC Kenwood is going to release new Everio video cameras: a 64GB model (GZ-RX500) and 32GB model (GZ-R300).

They are tough - IPX8 waterproof, IP5X dustproof, MIL-STD-810F Method 516.5 Shock standards, and temperature resistance (-10~40 degrees C). The built-in large-capacity battery allows you to film continuously for 5 hours in a rugged environment.

They have an effective 2.51MP 1/5.8-inch CMOS sensor and 3-inch LCD monitor, and support MEPG‐4 AVC/H.264 for video format and Dolby Digital 2ch for audio format.

The 64GB model (GZ-RX500) is compatible with interlace (1080/60i) as well as progressive format (1080/60p), which produces high-quality movies without much image blurring in speedy or slow scenes. Also, using a smartphone or tablet that has the Everio sync 2 application installed, you can control basic functions of the video camera.
