Japan News and Discussion
Anyone in the market for a DSLR camera could do worse than Sony’s new entry-level model, the Alpha A230, which lowers both the price bar and the learning curve for newbies. At 50,000 yen for the body alone, the A230 is decent value for money, assuming you’re not wrapped up in the resolution rat race. The 10.2 megapixels on offer are more than adequate, but it’s the new guided mode, which provides on-screen help with the myriad functions, that we’re really interested in.
Another 5,000 yen will land you a pretty standard zoom lens to go with that body, and there are also two higher-priced new Alphas for the more experienced snappers. (J Mark Lytle/Metropolis)

Not a huge upgrade from previous series. Some tech details would be nice, JT

Sony... Doesn't that mean wel have to add about 15000 Yen to the price to get any non-Japanese support?
