Mitsubishi Electric is marketing new refrigerators with capacities of 335 liters and 370 liters. The freezer compartment has been increased by 17 liters to 81 liters to store more frozen food and cooked rice. The design has been modified to make opening and shutting easier. The product targets consumers such as newlyweds. Mitsubishi aims for a monthly production of 9,000 units for each version.

By decreasing the size of the refrigerator and vegetable compartments, the freezing section has been enlarged by 26% to meet the increase in consumers’ use of frozen food and storage of ingredients. The price of the 335-liter capacity MR-C34R is expected to be in the range of 110,000 yen and 120,000 yen for the 370-liter MR-C37R.
