What a buzz

What a buzz

How often have you missed an important phone call just because you had your cell phone on “manner mode” and didn’t notice it going off? Princeton’s new vibrating TPM-ICN Bluetooth bracelet makes such episodes a thing of the past: strap one of these to your wrist and it’ll buzz you every time you get a call.

An additional function makes the bracelet vibrate if you stray more than 10 meters away from your handset, ensuring that you don’t accidentally leave it on the train after an all-night bender. If you’ve never felt like you’re chained to your cell phone, you will now.

2,980 yen. Available from major electronics stores.

Never. I threw my cell phone into the Sumida River, wrapped in a copy of the Yukan Fuji together with a fish.
