Yuzu drink

Yuzu drink

This is the third product in Itoen’s fruit juice beverage YUZU series.  It has the freshness of the Yuzu fragrance, and the fresh taste of Kishunankou-ume. In one 500ml bottle, there are 1,000 milligrams of vitamin C. 140yen.

I drank it once and won't repeat. It is too sweet and artificial. It is not a new product though.

It sounds great, but I wonder how much actual Yuzu juice is in it.

Sounds like "use drink!" I had some girl students named "Yuzu". Kind of unfortunate if she even lives in an English speaking country.

Itoen does make good drinks, but this is not one of them.

Also beware of the Fanta cola + orange blend. Disappointing.

I can't imagine mixing yuzu and ume, 2 completely different tastes.

But then mixing orange juice and pineapple juice, 2 completely different tastes, is excellent, so... I'll try it!

Yuzu is going to change the West once it gets there. A refreshing, piquant but not overwhelming drink. We Gaijins are going to be blamed for holding it back from the "developed" world when they get it...

@DentShop: "Yuzu" already exists in the West. In English it is known as "citron" and is sometimes used in French and other continental cuisines. But it certainly isn't used as often as it is here and is indeed a nice flavor.

    Beelzebub

Out of curiosity (or boredom) I tried it. The flavour was rather bland. But I didn't contract scurvy so it's hard to refute their claims.

Probably high in sugars and no better for you than a bottle of coke.

I bought it too and I have to agree with Beelzebub, the flavor is really bland and you get a kind of bitter aftertaste. It is a shame as both Ume and Yuzu juice are great. This is a flop drink.

Tried it but I dont like it. I still prefer the yuzu drink I always buy from Y100 shop and the one they served at JAL flights. They're good.
