And Australia for complaining -- or just looking like Harry Potter. At least the Australian beat him; it's be even worse if he was pointing the finger at everyone clean and lost to them.

here's a bit about Sun that many may not know. In 2014 he was banned for taking a stimulant for a so-called heart condition which is also used as a masking agent. But China took weeks to report the positive test to WADA. He insults the Japanese anthem, had an affair with a flight attendant, was involved in an accident with a bus driving without a licence, he assaulted a female Brazillian swimmer at the world titles. And the Chinese say Horton is a bad sport and personality. LOL

Then in March this year China announced 6 more athletes had tested positive and in April WADA suspended its licence to the Beijing laboratory that does testing on its behalf. Very similar situation that Russia is going through now. Its clear that Chinese testing and transperancy is inadequate. Add to this that China has a history of doping in swimming Its no wonder the world has little trust in Chinese athletes.

Well he did cheat. China is Russia's neighbour, I think the questions do need to be asked

Remember all those world record breaking Chinese women in the 5000 and 10,000 meters looking invincible at domestic track meets before Beijing 2008? All done on herbal tea.. I recall a Chinese woman athlete admitting a couple of years ago that she was forced by coaches to dope. China should be sitting this one out along side Russia.

I don't think the aussie was out of order. He was asked "how do you feel about doping violators Sun and South Korean Park Tae-Hwan competing at the Games" and replied “I don’t have time or respect for drug cheats.” what's wrong with that?

It's pretty normal for clean athletes to dislike cheats and if more were vocal about that perhaps athletes would think twice before doping. What did chinese journos expect him to say anyway, 'well Sun Yang made a mistake am glad he's back'! Not going to happen. The only situation where I would disagree with Horton is if he were caught for doping later on. Until then, he has every right to dislike drug cheats. As goes the saying, 'don't ask the question if you don't want to know the answer'. Boom

Ask China: "Did you or did you not hand Sun a doping ban for testing positive? So if you yourselves banned him, that means you too believe he cheated. So what's the problem? Unless you think PED cheating is not a big deal."

That's, like, pretty racist. I guess when it comes to China it's fair game though. Gotta keep up the 'ol West/East divide even during an event meant to unite the world.

So because people are too PC, now us Aussies of all persuasions and opinions have to put up with more of China's petulant behaviour:

Yes, people are too pc. My Aussie mates like to take the pee out of me as a Brit ( crappy weather, crappy food, whining poms, pompous windbags etc. ) and I give it back ( appalling dress sense, macho crap, Pauline Hanson, jailbird origins ).

I have enough respect for the fine people of Australia to know they can shrug off this childish insult.

I think he has every right to call the cheat out, because those swimmers who are trying like hell to win things clean must be exasperated and infuriated by those who resort to cheating to shift the level playing field.

A Chinese swimmer was found with a bag of HGH (human growth hormone) prior to competing at the World Swimming Championships in Perth in 1998. Seems like the Aussies know a cheat when they see one.

The world demands an apology from China for allowing it's athletes to become drug cheats. Plus, it is proof of a lack of good manners and upbringing.
