I don’t think the result is because Japan’s was a fantastic performance,” Japan coach Norio Sasaki said. “We must say that Norway played rather poorly.” But the Japanese commentators hypying of the Japanese team are a big contrast to the modest opinion of the Japanese Coach. The way they hyped the team you would think they had not lost or drawn their previous 2 matches.

    Good football, Team Japan.

Japan were reasonably good but I thought Norway was shocking, especially the defence. The keeper was all over the place and one defender gave away an own goal with an awful attempted clearance.

Never seen such unprofessional team like Norway, it was not poor performance, rather 'no performance' though the team was on ground it was as good as virtual boycott by Norway, cause need to be investigated.

Excellent result for team America who gets to "avoid" the Brazilians for right now. The USA Canada match-up should be another dogfight. Norway though, screwed up big time. The game against Japan was hardly a "must win" but to go in the tank and give up 5 goals to a disorganized squad like Japan, well inforgiveable. This has to be one of the major screw-ups of this Olympics.

I happened to turn on the game in the second half....pretty exciting stuff. Goal after goal after goal after goal.... Since Japan TV replays things 100 times I had to keep checking to make sure I was actually watching a live goal being scored and not a replay.
