Lots of people in Japan say London has terrible transport, climate and food. I guess this massive event will be the litmus test. If the Games are a success on those counts, a readjustment of attitudes should be in order.

I've been to Japan plenty of times and haven't heard anyone say to me: "British food is horrible"... maybe I meet the wrong people.
I actually find undercooked, fatty pork horrible.... but it doesn't taint my view of Japan. Neither do chicken entrails served as yakitori, fried fish with eyes staring at me... or natto.
