    The Melbourne mayor wants a lot of things. But he can't have them.

    Australian Olympic Committee president John Coates has previously said Brisbane is the likely candidate for the next Australian Olympic bid.

    Yes give it to Brisbane, Perth or even Adelaide, god bless their soul and many churches. Melbourne and Sydney you've had your fun, now be quiet.

    Will compete against Tokyo and Osaka, as usual...

    We all saw what happened to Osaka's bid and who they lost to. All future bids from Japan will be from Tokyo, losing until they win.
