Stupid NHK did not even show the last match of Mexico vs Brazil! So not surprised to hear that they did not put the cameras on Bolt either, but the heck with NHK, we all know BOLT is da man! And he has class and now GOLD for JAMAICA!!!

Lewis is going to be miffed. Good on Bolt -- despite morons in the US claiming Jamaicans drug up while their own athletes admit to doping (Ahem, good riddance, Tyler, and you're only the latest!) this man IS a legend. Hopefully he will continue to be in the future.

I would start my own Bolt brand of cologne, sports clothes, tennis shoes, etc.

Congrats to Bolt and the Jamaicans for winning the gold medal and setting a world record. Too bad about Japan. Had they run as fast as they had during their semi final run at 38.07 seconds they could have taken the bronze.

That was one fast 4x100m. They were smokin'. And I mean that in the speedy sense.

It took the US men 4x100 to tie the world record (37.04s), only for Jamaica to win by breaking it (36.84s). At least this time, that forced Bolt to run thru the finish line instead of celebrating early, since the US was so close.
The US women 4x400 obliterated the competition, a day after winning the 4x100 in world record time that stood since the 1988 Seoul Olympics by the Soviet women. However, the blistering 4x400 time was still just short of the world record set by East German girls way back 27 years in 1985. (In their defense, it behooves imagination that 1980's Soviet and East German records are still in the books.)

Shame I had to go to the internet to find good footage of this race. The LIVE on air race apparently had proper footage, but the delayed highlights on later in the morning, focussed almost exclusively on the Japanese team. Anyway well done to the Jamaican team.
